Green Pastures – Sunday November 22nd

This Sunday is our final Sunday before Advent. For those attending by Zoom, we will be sharing in the sacrament of Communion live. Remember to bring bread and wine or juice, or something similar, with you as you join us this morning.

During both services our music once again will be the wonderful Uniting Voices Collective, with Matt Boutda and 4 other Music Directors in Toronto. The music will include the hymn “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore You.”

Today we will listen to Ezekiel 34:11-16,20-24. It’s a less familiar passage about God as shepherd than Psalm 23, but has a wonderful emphasis on the gathering together of the flock. I hope our service helps you feel gathered and fed this morning.

Our Stories and Crafts program looks ahead to Advent, including a lovely and simple Advent wreath craft. Join at 9:45 for a 9:55 start on Zoom, or watch any time on YouTube.

Next Sunday
We begin Advent with our first Sunday, as we light the candle of Hope. The service “In Darkness and Splendour” will include two favourite hymns for the beginning of Advent, “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” and “Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus.”
