Leaside United Church is part of the North Toronto Cluster of Churches. We have been exploring ways to work together, support one another, and share opportunities for spiritual nurture.
During the 2018-2019 year, some ways the cluster has begun to work together include:
- Bi-monthly meetings with ministers and Council chairs.
- A year-round program of adult education, with series led by Glebe Rd. United Church, Lawrence Park Community Church, Leaside United Church, Deer Park United, Dewi-Sant and Eglinton St. George’s United Church.
- Collaboration between the Outreach committees of Leaside United Church and Northlea United Church.
- A joint Council/Board meeting and worship in January, with participants from all 8 congregations.
- During Lent, Leaside has invited other North Toronto churches to take part in our daily Lenten emails, and Glebe Rd. and Manor Rd. have invited everyone to attend an Ash Wednesday service they are planning jointly.
