On Sunday, May 21 we heard the scripture reading Acts 1:6-14 and sang In the Bulb as well as What a Friend We Have in Jesus. There wasn’t a children’s worship program but we had activity bulletin’s in the children’s corner during the service. Sunday, May 14 we celebrated Mother’s Day and Christian Family Sunday. Our hymns included Come In, Come In and Sit Down, I am a Child of God, and Make a Joyful Noise All the Earth. Our scripture was John 14:15-21. The Junior Choir sang Hand Me Down My Silver Trumpet, and the Chancel Choir sang You Do Not Walk Alone. On Sunday, May 7, we celebrated Asian Heritage Month. Our music included O So So, and May the Love of the Lord, both of which we will continue to sing over the next few weeks. We also learned a Laotian song, O Phi Nong Oei, with an accompaniment by Matt, which is in the recent Mennonite Hymnal, Voices Together. Our closing hymn was O For a World.
