On July 9th we had the first of three Sundays worshiping at Northlea United Church, at 10:30am. Northlea is located at 125 Brentcliffe Road (located two blocks north of Eglinton – where Broadway Ave. and Brentcliffe Rd meet). If you would like to view the service please click on this LINK.
This Sunday, July 2, we celebrated Canada Day. Our music featured our four section leads as well as guest organist, John Charles. Music included hymns and anthem by Canadian composers, and we also sang O Canada during the service. The Call to Worship was by Wetaskiwin Writers, Grace Lutheran Church and First United Church, Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Our scripture reading was Matthew 10:40-42. This Sunday, June 25, we celebrated Pride Sunday and the Indigenous Day of Prayer. This was our last Sunday before the summer with our full Chancel Choir, and it was another wonderful service of music with the anthem “Don’t BE Afraid.” If you wish to see the service click this LINK.
