    United Church of Canada Logo

The Mission of Leaside United Church is to grow a caring and vibrant spiritual community that embodies God’s unconditional love following the teachings of Jesus and takes responsibility for being co-creators of a world that works for all.

As an affirming ministry, we celebrate the diversity of God’s creation. We      celebrate the richness of our community when we have diversity in age, gender identity, racial/cultural backgrounds, sexual orientation, ability and family configurations. We seek to create a safe place with an open invitation to bring every aspect of one’s whole self into one’s participation within this ministry.

  • Water & Wonder II – Sunday, September 21, 2020

This week we continue our “Water and Wonder” theme as we listen to a story from Exodus.

On YouTube, we’ll hear the solo “Silent Noon” by Vaughan Williams, as well as the hymns “I Have Peace Like a River” and “Will Your Anchor Hold.”

On Zoom, we will also take time to light candles sharing joys and sorrows. Also, you might like to wear blue, or to be near water, as we continue our water theme.

Gather at 9:45 am for “Stories and Crafts” which will start at 9:55 am – open to all ages – or follow the link in this email to watch the program on your own at any time. For the craft, you’ll need a toilet paper roll, construction paper, a pencil, a marker or pencil crayon, a ruler, tape or glue, and scissors.

Join Zoom by 11:15 am for a time of conversation and connection. Emily will also be sharing a short video for those interested on Universal Basic Income, as part of the action encourage by the UCC this week.
