Reflecting on a modern-day apostle I thought of one person who cared for my daughter. We called her Mama B and she had 12 children of her own but was never boastful or acted like an expert, although she really was. By the time she landed on our doorstep all her children were grown and she was in her late sixties. She was a great teacher to my kid, she sang Jamaican ditties to her and danced with her daily.
She helped me immensely in those early days of motherhood and a large portion of what we paid her went directly to her church. Above all else, Mama B loves Christ more than anything. I consider her to be a modern-day apostle because she not only supported us when we were struggling new parents but because she was faithful to us and to Christ.
I had to look up “anathema” = excommunication.
I like Corinthians, it’s action packed!
Corinthians is action-packed that’s for sure. I love your story about Mama B. She really lived her faith!!
